I may never get \u201cYou\u2019ve Got a Friend in Me\u201d out of my head. I\u2019ve read that fresh air is still recommended, so I\u2019ve been taking Dot to a wide open field to run around. We\u2019re keeping six feet away from everyone else and she gets to run off her energy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We went to the same field yesterday, and it turns out that Dot\u2019s coat fell out of the car. I was delighted to see that someone had hung it up on a branch to keep it safe. Don\u2019t chase those ducks! Don\u2019t pick up duck poop! Don\u2019t put that stick in your mouth! Don\u2019t put that duck poop in your mouth! Stay away from those cars!\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Still, it was lovely to walk in the sunshine with the toddler, who is so interested in small things: the ice patterns on the mud, the colours on the ducks in the pond, the softness of moss, the roughness of bark.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/D9tLOokRUP3zotKVH4yd4VmPplf6jZ0ozT_5mepRaAbe7K_azsInZyw9YnmH1sE0WkuStkvmSbBmpCWPQoOuFU6c6Fw8fY4k8ckoymxys-u_dr_no4I1Pwzhw5F1Dh7UORaKIE5C\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I<strong>mage description: A toy T-rex sits on top of a pyramid of green disposable cups.<\/strong><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Towards the end of the day, we\u2019ve had to get creative about how to entertain each other. We painted, drew pictures, sang Old MacDonald, watched Big Hero 6, and spent 20 minutes putting Rex on top of cups and knocking him down.
