The last few days have been filled with lots and lots of teaching. It has been really rewarding to share my knowledge with this great group of people. We are so lucky in Canada, BC and the Lower Mainland to have some of the best water and wastewater management in the world. Helping others raise their standards to ensure safe, clean drinking water for all has been beyond rewarding.
Having said that, the second & third training sessions went quite well. Each session was two days in length. The first group was comprised of front line workers. We shared lots of laughs and I enjoyed their easy going nature. While fun was had, there was a lot of deep learning happening along the way. 🙂
The third group was composed of mostly supervisors. They took a little longer to warm up and open up, but they also put my knowledge to the test! They gave me a shoring challenge that I could not easily answer. Determine to figure it out, I will be consulting with a few of my engineer friends and colleagues once I get home!
