Week 3 Instagram sketch
Week 2 Sketch
This week I chose to do something I found challenging. Getting straight lines and equal line weight was tough, especially when trying to get proportions to be accurate. My cube ended up being a little bit squished on the right side becoming more of a rectangle than a square. I am happy with the results […]
Week 2: sketch exercise
Week 2: IG Sketch
For this week’s Instagram sketch I chose to draw something a bit simpler. I wanted to practice doing curves because of the wheels I had trouble with on last week’s sketch. I didn’t want to colour it because I just wanted to focus on the linework. I also worked on doing guides.
Week 2: Exercise Sketch
This drawing is based on a sketch from the third video. I tried to focus a bit more on making clean lines. I took Victor’s advice of looking where you want the line to end, rather than watching the entire stroke. The lines still could be straighter, though.
Week 2 Instagram sketch
Part 2 This week I attempted to follow @sketchfactory stapler sketch. I found this one tricky when finding the right angles and lengths I had to draw at. It took me many times to get the right lines to thickness of each line when following.
Week 2 Sketch
Part 1 I found it hard to keep a stable straight line and to thicken the lines to be organized. Seeing how light affects thickness and shadowing.
Sketch 2/ Line weight
I find it hard to balance between the left and the right , right side seems more tilted in the photo too. I realized that I need to work on straight lines more. The head was pretty easy, then I had some struggles on the ellipses , the speed of his recording was way too […]
Week 2 – Instagram sketch
The sketch i copied for this week is the one from @SketchFactory as I felt like it was a relatively simple sketch to draw, but not kind of basic. I pay attention to the line weight. For the most part, it was quite smooth, however it took me 3 iterations to make me satisfy with […]
