This was a very interesting exercise, I tried this after I wasn’t sure what to do next while sketching shoe concepts for 1100 and it worked really well I found that I was able to be much more creative after.

Is a good start, but a few things:
This is an exploration which means that we need to see many, many more sketches of different ideas, concepts.
Also, try to not draw only “parallel” lines, give them different directions and also draw some curves!
Lastly, use different pencils to give different line quality to your initial lines and the object “extracted” from them.
