Catherine Hay, OER Lead

Catherine has been an educator in BC for over 25 years, with an extensive background in the fashion industry. She is a graduate of Ryerson’s fashion program and has a Master’s degree in Human Ecology and Everyday Living (HEEL) from UBC in Vancouver, BC. She now teaches one of the Textiles courses in the HEEL program. At the secondary level, Catherine runs one of the largest secondary fashion programs in the province as South Delta Secondary School (SDSS). She has recently launched a YouTube channel, Catherine Sews, in which she teaches tips and techniques for sewing and fashion design.

Heather Clark, OER Lead

With an undergraduate degree in Fashion and Technology from KPU, a bachelor’s degree in education from UBC, in Vancouver, B.C., and a Master’s degree in Education in Home Economics Living (HEEL) from UBC, Heather has been teaching with the Wilson School of Design since September 2014.  With experience teaching clothing, textile, and fashion at the secondary level, and at the post-secondary level she has worked with a range of learners.

Logo Designer: Lexi Chang

Lexi Chang, a fourth-year Fashion Design Student at Wilson School of Design (KPU) in Vancouver, Canada. Recently, she has completed the Spring semester abroad at Leeds Arts University in England which marked as a big milestone in her academic career. Lexi hopes to continue professionally further exploring and developing her interest in Pattern Marking, Concept and Design. With her Bachelor’s Degree, she looks forward to what the Fashion Industry holds for her upon Graduation in Spring 2021.  Instagram Handle: @just.lex

Student Assistant 2021: Vivian Dong

In her final year of Wilson School of Design’s Fashion Marketing program, Vivian worked as a student assistant on this project. Her main responsibilities focused on content editing and uploading. In Fall 2021 Vivian started attending King’s College London to attain her bachelors in Culture, Media, and Creative Industries with the aim of working in London’s media and fashion industry.

Student Assistant 2022: Max Magnanensi 

A current student at the Wilson School of Design, Max Magnanensi is working in the local apparel industry at a design agency that specializes in outdoor, bike, and ski apparel for brand clients.  During 2022, he assisted with the page formatting, HTML, and upload/attribution of content for Stitched.  In 2023, he looks forward to continued learning about the industry, new apparel technologies, and materials platforms through his position and through Fashion & Tech classes at KPU.
