This episode features Tina Athaide, an author born in Uganda but residing in San Diego, California and we will be talking to her about her debut book “Orange for the Sunsets“, a historical fiction, a story set against the chaotic backdrop of Uganda during the tumultuous times of 1972.  Tina Athaide’s conversation will bring in a lot of memories for Ugandans who experienced these tragic times. Tina wraps her book in strong bonds of friendship between an African and an Indian Ugandan against this upheaval. In addition to the power of friendship, her story pulls at your emotional strings. She has weaved in sensitive issues of racism, discrimination and injustices prevailing at that time in Uganda between various races.
