Parietal Injuries

Parietal lesions associated with rear effects are almost systematic. They include the following:
• Erosion and skin wounds. These lesions can be formed through either friction or crushing. Friction induces lesions such as burns, while a crush injury produces bruised skin and subcutaneous wounds

• Rib fractures

• Break in the parietal pleura

Lung Injuries

• Bruising and pulmonary hemorrhage

• Pneumothorax, hemothorax, and air embolism

Cardiac Injuries

Macroscopic cardiac lesions such as myocardial contusions, wall ruptures, and avulsions of large vessels can be observed, though only following a high-energy shooting within the cardiac area.
