KPU’s BSN Program Implements PebblePad Workbooks across all Clinical courses.
In partnership with the Centre for Educational Transformation (formerly the Teaching and Learning Commons), the KPU BSN Clinical workbook has now been adopted, adapted, and implemented across all 6 BSN Clinical semesters as well as the LPN to BSN program. KPU’s Educational Consultant for ePortfolio Advancement worked collaboratively with BSN faculty semester team leads to create a standardized workbook for each semester.
While each semester clinical workbook is unique, they all feature the same Performance Appraisal workbook which contains the nine competencies nursing students are required to demonstrate to graduate, creative spaces for journal assignments, space to share their various certifications and more. Each workbook also contains additional learning support for students which can be triggered to appear by the Clinical Instructor in ATLAS, but only if needed. Along with these standardized pieces, each semester workbook also includes common assignments for each course. These workbooks contain multiple examples of template elements and assessment features that are unique to the PebblePad platform.
